APSC Recruitment 2025: Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has started the application process for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer under Soil Conservation Department. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website apsc.gov.in. A total of 18 posts will be filled through this recruitment process. This is a permanent government job opportunity which offers good pay scale and allowances.
Pay Scale and Other Benefits
The pay scale for this post is attractive. Selected candidates will get a monthly salary of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 including a grade pay of ₹8,700. This salary falls under Pay Band 2. Apart from this, other allowances available to Assam State Government employees will also be applicable. This job guarantees a financially stable future.
Qualification and Eligibility Conditions
To apply, the candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam. The candidate must have a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized institute. This diploma should be a regular course. Diploma obtained through distance learning will not be valid. It is mandatory to upload all the required documents at the time of application.
Age limit and relaxation facility
The minimum age of the candidate for this post should be 18 years and maximum 40 years which will be calculated on 1 January 2025. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per rules. Candidates will have to submit 10th or 12th mark sheet or admit card as a certificate of date of birth in which the date of birth is clearly written.
Application fee and last date
Talking about the application fee, general category candidates will have to pay ₹ 297.20, OBC / MOBC ₹ 197.20 and SC / ST / BPL / Divyang category candidates will have to pay ₹ 47.20. The last date for application is 15 August 2025 while the last date for depositing the fee has been fixed as 17 August 2025. Candidates are advised not to wait for the last date and complete the application process as soon as possible.
