The show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has been winning the hearts of the audience for the last 17 years. The stories of Gokuldham Society and the fun of Tappu Sena are liked by people of all ages. If any character in the show has kept people hooked with her beauty and style even after years, then it is Babita ji i.e. Munmun Dutta. Recently, an event was organized to celebrate the completion of 17 years of the show, in which Munmun Dutta’s look and her actions became a topic of discussion.
As soon as she came on stage, she did such a thing that people were surprised
In this event, Munmun reached the stage in a denim short dress. Her on-screen husband Iyer i.e. Tanuj Mahashabde was also with her. Munmun carried this outfit with boot style heels and also had a multi-colored stole in her hand. When she reached the stage, she first greeted the people with folded hands and then sat on the chair. But what she did as soon as she sat down caught everyone’s attention.
Started covering her feet with the stole
As soon as Munmun sits on the chair, she opens the stole in her hand and starts covering her feet. It seemed that she was feeling a little uncomfortable with her short dress and to avoid any “oops moment”, she covered her feet with the stole. After this incident, Bagha i.e. Tanmay Vakaria also reached the stage but by then people’s eyes were fixed on this act of Munmun.
Uproar on social media
As soon as this video went viral, people’s reactions were divided into two parts. Some people trolled Munmun and wrote, “When you were not comfortable, why wear such clothes?” While some said, “Heroines have to show as well as hide, I don’t understand what they want.” On the other hand, some people came out in support of Munmun and said that she showed wisdom by saving herself from any awkward situation.
Trolls got a befitting reply
Several users supported Munmun and said that any woman has the right to adjust her clothes and behaviour according to her convenience. One user wrote, “Wiseness lies in taking the right step even when you feel uncomfortable.” Another wrote, “Those who are trolling should first focus on their own thinking.” In this way, this matter has become a topic of discussion in which a debate has started about the definition of fashion, confidence and personal freedom.
