We all know Anushka Sharma as a successful actress but hardly anyone knows that she never dreamt of coming to Bollywood. Anushka, who debuted with Shahrukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, has herself admitted that she never wanted to become an actress. She had never even watched films in her childhood.
Brought up in a military household
Anushka was born on 1 May 1988 in Ayodhya. Her father Ajay Kumar Sharma was a colonel in the Indian Army and mother Ashima Sharma is a housewife. Raised in a military family, Anushka was taught discipline and simplicity from the beginning. She was never inclined towards the world of glamour. Rather, she dreamt of becoming something else.

The journey started with modelling
Anushka told that she wanted to become a journalist or a model. To fulfil this dream, she moved to Mumbai. She first walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week and from there her modelling career started. Then she worked in many oil, shampoo and jewellery advertisements. One day fate turned her towards the film world.
From actress to producer and icon
After coming to Bollywood, Anushka did not look back. She proved her acting prowess with films like Band Baaja Baaraat, PK, NH10. She not only acted but also promoted new stories through her production company ‘Clean Slate Films’. Today Anushka is not just an actress but has become an inspiration.
Now spending peaceful moments with family
Talking about personal life, Anushka started dating Virat Kohli in the year 2013 and both got married in Italy in the year 2018. Now she is the mother of two children. Anushka is living the most beautiful phase of her life with daughter Vamika and son Akay. Currently, she is spending time with family, staying away from films.
