Assam government’s Revenue Minister Keshav Mahanta on Friday visited the residence of Lightnant Vinay Narwal, who was martyred in the Pahalgam terror attack. There he expressed deep condolences to the family. Also, on behalf of the government, a cheque of Rs 5 lakh was handed over to the family of the martyr. The minister assured the family of sympathy and assistance in this difficult time.
Honor to the martyrs on the instructions of CM Himanta Biswa Sharma
Keshav Mahanta said that the Assam government under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has decided to honor the martyrs of the Pahalgam attack. Under this, a minister and a senior IAS officer will meet the affected families. They will support them in their pain and will also provide financial assistance to the family members. This step has been taken to honor the sacrifice of the martyrs and help the families.

Government’s tough stand against terrorism
Minister Keshav Mahanta said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has taken a completely tough stand against terrorism. Strict action has been taken through Operation Sindoor to root out terrorism. This has given a big blow to the terrorists. The government will not tolerate such acts and will give top priority to the security of the country.
Message of sensitivity and support towards the families
The Revenue Minister expressed his sensitivity towards the martyr families and said that in this hour of grief, the entire country as well as the Government of Assam is with them. He said that the government will provide all possible help to the families of the martyrs. The state government is constantly working to rehabilitate and assist the families of victims of such incidents so that they can feel respect and economic security.
