Gaurav Gogoi claims to have received an invitation from Pakistan's Home Ministry, Assam CM shows glimpse of the document

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has once again made serious allegations against Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi. Sarma claimed that Gaurav Gogoi went there on the invitation of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. He said that he is saying this publicly for the first time. He also told that Gogoi was sent a document by the Home Ministry of Pakistan and on the basis of that letter he went there for training. Sarma has described it as a very serious matter related to national security and has also talked about taking strict action further.

Warned Rahul Gandhi

Himanta Biswa Sarma had appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi a day earlier to remove Gaurav Gogoi from the team of MPs who are going on a foreign trip. He had said that the Congress should not involve such a person in any strategic and sensitive work. Sarma also alleged that Gogoi’s wife was taking salary from a Pakistan-based NGO while living in India. He said that this is not just a matter of politics but a matter related to the security of the country, so it should be taken seriously.

Gaurav Gogoi’s counterattack and demand for proof

Gaurav Gogoi has strongly countered these allegations of Himanta Sarma. He has asked the CM to present proof of these allegations. Gogoi asked that if he had gone to Pakistan, then when did he go and for what purpose, proof should be given. He also said that do only Congress people go to Pakistan or have BJP people also ever gone there. Gogoi even said that the Chief Minister should also clarify whether any BJP leader has any business relationship with Pakistan or whether anyone is married to a Pakistani citizen.

New round of allegations and counter-allegations in politics

This whole matter has once again made it clear that in the atmosphere of the Lok Sabha elections, rhetoric and allegations and counter-allegations have intensified among the leaders. While on one hand Himanta Sarma is calling it a matter related to national security, on the other hand Gaurav Gogoi is considering it a political attack and demanding an answer. In such a situation, now the eyes of the people of the country are fixed on whether Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will present any concrete evidence in support of his claims or was it just a part of political strategy.
