New zeal for awareness in Diasajan and Makum

A special health lecture was also organised at Diasajan Camp, which explained the early symptoms of asthma, common triggers and effective management. The biggest feature of this programme was that it was an open discussion where villagers shared their personal problems and got practical suggestions from experts. At Assam Heights Public School in Makum, 120 students and 10 teachers participated enthusiastically. Here, the Army Medical Officer gave an excellent lecture on asthma prevention and later also answered the questions of the students. The children not only participated enthusiastically but also asked many serious and thought-provoking questions, which showed their level of awareness.

Army’s Pledge – Serving Citizens Beyond Borders

At the end of all these events, a common pledge was taken in which all the participants pledged to adopt a healthy lifestyle and spread awareness about asthma in their communities. This effort of the Indian Army shows that it not only protects the country’s borders but also takes full responsibility for the well-being and health of the citizens. These awareness programs not only increased the knowledge about asthma among the local people but also deepened their respect and trust in the Army.
