Delhi AIIMS: In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, Delhi-based AIIMS has today canceled the leaves of all its doctors, nurses, officers and employees. The institute issued a notice informing all the employees about this. The notice said that as per the order of the ministry, from May 9 till further orders, no leave will be given to any officer, except for medical reasons. Apart from this, previously approved leaves have also been canceled and the officers who had taken leave have been instructed to return to their duty immediately.

Leaves canceled in Safdarjung Hospital too

Safdarjung Hospital has also issued an order to cancel the leaves of its employees, nurses and doctors. This order was issued by Geetika Khanna, head of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital. The order said that keeping in mind the current situation, the leaves of all the faculty have been canceled. Doctors have been asked to be ready to deal with any situation. Faculty leaves have been cancelled at Safdarjung Hospital, as half of the hospital staff is usually on leave at this time.

Holidays may also be cancelled in these hospitals

Given the current situation, doctors’ leaves may also be cancelled in other hospitals. These include hospitals attached to many medical colleges like Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lady Harding Hospital. Let us tell you that the summer holiday of doctors of Delhi AIIMS and RML is starting from May 16, but the leaves may be cancelled considering the seriousness of the situation.

Delhi Police leaves also cancelled

Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has also issued an order to the Delhi Police and cancelled the leaves of all their policemen. This step has been taken keeping in mind the increasing tension and security situation. Now all the personnel of Delhi Police will be deployed on their duty to deal with any emergency situation.
